A facility in Tucson, AZ is seeking an experienced Pharmacist for a 13-week travel assignment. The Pharmacist will be responsible for the safe, accurate, and efficient distribution of pharmaceutical agents to patients of all ages, employees, and designated hospital areas.
Responsibilities include:
• Collaboration with physicians on drug selection and dosing
• Education of nursing staff, patients, and physicians regarding medications
• Support of Medication Safety initiatives
• Review of patient profiles and avoidance/reporting of adverse drug reactions
• Preparation of IV admixtures and nutritional supplements
• Narcotic control and accountability
Requirements:
• Active Pharmacist license
• Minimum of 3+ years of hospital experience in a high-acuity acute care setting
• Experience with NICU and cardiac cases (including Impella and ECMO)
• Familiarity with all applicable state/federal and DEA laws, TJC standards, and hospital policies
Contract Details:
• 13-week assignment
• 8 PM – 7:30 AM shift
• Rotating 7 on / 7 off schedule starting December 26
