EY is seeking a Data Architecture Manager with a strong understanding of data and technology within the Life Sciences (Clinical (R&D) and Commercial) sector, complemented by a solid track record of delivery. The role will spearhead the design, development, and governance of our clients’ data architectures, ensuring scalable, effective, and secure data solutions that align with business objectives and support data imperatives.

• Design and build scalable solutions for life sciences clients that unify, enrich, and derive insights from varied data sources across a broad technology landscape.
• Provide guidance and perform technical development tasks to ensure data science solutions are properly engineered and maintained.
• Lead the effective management and delivery of one or more processes, solutions, and projects, with a focus on quality and effective risk management.
• Drive continuous process improvement and identify innovative solutions through research, analysis, and best practices.
• Apply depth of expertise to guide others and interpret internal/external issues to recommend quality solutions.

• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to define data requirements, design solutions, and implement data strategies.
• Organize and lead workshops and design sessions with stakeholders to capture requirements and align on data architecture strategies.
• Design and build solutions on AWS, Databricks, Snowflake.
• Design conceptual, logical, physical layers of a data solution.
• Conduct data design reviews, striving for improved usability and efficiency.
• Design blueprints for data extraction and basic transformations.
• Participate in presentations and proposals for highly complex projects.
• Technical knowledge:
  Applications integration with third‑party SaaS applications, cloud computing architecture, data architecture design and platform modernization.
• Implement data integration best practices and develop standardized practices for delivering new products using Big Data technologies.
• Interact with senior client technology leaders and understand business goals to propose, develop, and deliver solutions.
• Define client‑specific best practices around data management within a Hadoop or cloud environment.
• Recommend design alternatives for data ingestion, processing, and provisioning layers.
• Experience in enterprise‑grade solution implementations, BI, data analytics databases, and converting business challenges to technical solutions.
• Knowledge of Big Data architecture patterns (Lambda, Kappa) and performance benchmarking.
• Experience in data security (on the move, at rest).

• Bachelor’s degree and 10‑15 years of full‑time working experience in Data Architecture/Engineering.
• 2‑4 years of experience directly managing technical teams.
• At least 2 years working in life sciences domains (Clinical (R&D) and Commercial), developing solutions for life sciences challenges.
• Flexible, proactive, and self‑motivated working style with strong personal ownership.
• Excellent communicator (written and verbal).
• Ability to multi‑task under pressure and work independently with minimal supervision.
• Team player who enjoys working in a cooperative and collaborative environment.
• Adaptable to new technologies and standards.
• Participate in all aspects of AI and Data solution delivery lifecycle.
