Reporting to IT Manager, the Supervisor, Mine Technology Networks & Infrastructure will lead the strategic design, implementation, and deployment of a cutting-edge operational technology (OT) network at our Copper World project site in Helvetia, AZ. This role will manage both current mine communication systems and the deployment of a new private LTE network to support voice, data, and autonomous haulage. Additionally, the supervisor will oversee the implementation of a Rajant mesh network for data capture from IoT devices, Vehicle Information Management Monitoring Systems (VIMMS), and site infrastructure such as gas and water stations, radio repeaters, lightning detection systems, among others.

This role will be located at the Copper World Project, approximately 45 minutes southwest of Tucson near Sahuarita, Arizona.

• Lead the Private LTE Network Deployment:
  Oversee the end-to-end design, implementation, and optimization of the site’s private LTE network infrastructure to ensure high availability, low latency, and security for mission-critical applications, including autonomous haulage and high-definition voice/data communications.
• Rajant Mesh Network Integration:
  Direct the deployment and integration of a Rajant wireless mesh network, ensuring seamless connectivity and high-speed data transfer for all operational technology (OT) assets, including VIMMS and other critical IoT devices.
• System Architecture & Standards:
  Develop and maintain technical standards, documentation, and network diagrams for all communications and networking infrastructure. Ensure all deployments comply with regulatory and safety requirements.
• Project Management:
  Manage technology implementation projects from planning through deployment, including budget management, vendor management, and resource allocation.
• Support:
  Define and implement a coherent and effective support strategy for all mine operations technology networks, systems, and equipment, taking into consideration the specific needs of a 24x7 operation.

• Supervision and Mentorship:
  Supervise and mentor the Mine Operations Technology Field Support Specialist, overseeing Tier 1 and Tier 2 technical support activities, including troubleshooting Ethernet and Wi-Fi networks, structured cabling, and Motorola radio systems.
