Legal Assistant – Probate and Estate Planning

A mid‑sized Tucson, Arizona law firm seeks a qualified, detail‑oriented Part‑Time Legal Assistant. The ideal candidate will have 2–5 years of probate and estate planning experience, strong administrative and organizational skills, and a commitment of 30 to 40 hours per week.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive administrative support to attorneys within the probate and estate planning practice.
  • Manage attorney calendars, schedule client appointments, meetings, and court deadlines.
  • Organize and maintain client files and related documentation in accordance with firm procedures.
  • Draft, format, and finalize estate planning documents, including wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and other legal instruments.
  • Prepare deeds, contracts, and various types of agreements with accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Communicate professionally with clients, court personnel, and other third parties on behalf of the attorney.
Qualifications and Skills
  • Minimum 2–5 years of experience as a legal assistant, preferably with a probate and estate planning focus.
  • Strong initiative, reliability, and organizational abilities with capacity to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Superior attention to detail and a high standard for proofreading and document formatting.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
