HARTZ Search invites you to explore an exciting opportunity with our newest client, Intermountain Centers for Human Development in Tucson, Arizona for their new Chief Financial Officer. Our client is seeking a forward-thinking, dynamic and experienced CFO to oversee all financial operations, provide strategic financial guidance and ensure the long-term sustainability of this growing organization. The CFO is responsible for ensuring the organization s financial integrity.
This individual develops and executes financial strategies, initiatives, systems, and processes that optimize current and future performance and provide consumer-friendly services. This position also provides leadership, guidance, and direction to capital planning, financial planning, financial reporting, decision support, patient intake, revenue cycle, accounting, payroll, reimbursement, managed care, health information, and supply chain across the enterprise. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in nonprofit accounting, strong audit experience, and a deep understanding of grants management.
The CFO is an innovative, strategic, and collaborative leader who ensures the organization maintains a strong balance sheet, financial performance, and internal controls to enable the organization to continue providing high-quality care & services for the patients and communities they serve.
Intermountain Centers for Human Development, Inc., is an Arizona-based nonprofit healthcare system made up of a statewide family of subsidiary organizations that includes Behavioral Consultation Services Inc., Community Partners, Inc., Intermountain Academy, LLC, Intermountain Foster Care, LLC, Intermountain Health Center, Inc, Mental Health Resources, Inc and Pinal Hispanic Council Inc. The Intermountain family of organizations is known as Intermountain Centers. Intermountain Centers is recognized as a leader in the provision of integrated behavioral health and intensive welfare programs for children and adults.

Qualifications:
- Reports directly to the CEO of Intermountain Centers for Human Development
- 3 Direct Reports
- Bachelor s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field;
Advanced Degree & CPA Preferred - Minimum of 10 years of experience in financial management, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role within a nonprofit organization.
- Strong knowledge of nonprofit accounting principles, regulations, and best practices.
- Proven experience in managing audits and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Extensive experience in grants management, including tracking, reporting, and compliance.
- Excellent strategic thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong leadership and team management abilities.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- High level of integrity and commitment to the mission of Intermountain Centers for Human Development
- Strong communications skills with the ability to translate complex information to multiple stakeholders in a timely manner
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement financial strategies, plans, and budgets that align with the organization s goals and objectives.
- Oversee all financial operations, including accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
- Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting to the CEO, Board of Directors, and relevant stakeholders.
- Lead the annual audit process and ensure compliance with all regulatory and legal requirements.
- Manage the organization s grants and ensure proper tracking, reporting, and compliance with grant requirements.
- Provide strategic financial analysis and recommendations to support decision-making processes.
- Supervise and mentor the finance team, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
