OverviewAs a Multi-Unit Team Leader at a Block Advisors office, you will serve as the front-line manager responsible for leadership and development of associates, delivering an outstanding client experience, and achieving all office related growth objectives for three offices.
Responsibilities- Lead and develop associates across multiple offices; drive client growth, revenue, and earnings targets.
- Start a flexible part-time schedule in the fall to prepare for the busy tax season; transition to full-time from January to April, including evening and weekend hours as needed.
- After a successful tax season, work a reduced schedule May through December and explore advancement opportunities.
- Travel between offices as required.
- Lead daily team meetings and communicate essential information to tax office associates.
- Manage office staffing, operations, and logistics for multiple offices with support from Associate Team Leaders.
- Create associate work schedules and ensure accurate timekeeping and labor management for all offices.
- Recruit and interview candidates for tax office positions in collaboration with the District General Manager (DGM).
- Prepare tax returns as needed, upon successful completion of the Income Tax Course or Tax Knowledge Assessment.
- Manage office staffing, operations, and logistics for multiple offices with support from Associate Team Leaders.
- Partner with the DGM to create and implement office-level growth plans and client growth targets, including developing local partnerships and managing office community involvement.
- Assist DGM in recruiting and interviewing candidates for tax office roles.
- Conduct timely performance reviews and collaborate with Associate Relations Center to resolve issues and address performance concerns.
- Build an engaging team environment across all offices by training and coaching associates and recognizing outstanding contributions.
- Lead daily team meetings and communicate essential information to tax office staff.
- Travel between offices as required.
- Prepare tax returns as needed after completing the required tax coursework.
- People management experience with a track record of growing and developing associates.
- Aptitude for executing growth plans and fostering a growth-oriented culture.
- Strong decision-making and judgment skills; ability to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a customer-centric mindset.
- Computer proficiency in MS Office.
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field, or high school diploma with equivalent experience.
- Successful completion of the HR Block Tax Knowledge Assessment or Income Tax Course (if preparing tax returns).
