Responsibilities- Lead development of manufacturing methods, maintenance and updating of product drawings, routing sheets, material specifications.
- Maintain flow of production via real‑time trouble shooting and evaluation of rejected product.
- Provide continuous improvement of tooling and manufacturing methods.
- Lead Capital Projects: justification and industrialization.
- Work with and lead production teams to enhance manufacturing processes and troubleshoot issues.
- Lead cross‑functional team in determination of root cause, corrective action of problems.
- Help ensure that quality and standards for the department are adhered to and maintained.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Adhere to Howmet EH&S, Quality, Continuous Improvements and other Company Policies.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, Metallurgical Engineering or related field.
- Must be proficient in Solid Works.
- QAD MRP experience preferred.
- Three to five years of experience in a metal working industry.
- Familiarity to metal working principles required.
- Strong communication and problem solving skills.
- Skilled in use of personal computers with emphasis on analytical software.
- Knowledge of world‑class manufacturing principles such as lean manufacturing, JIT, SPC, TCM, etc. preferred.
