Responsibilities

• Lead development of manufacturing methods, maintenance and updating of product drawings, routing sheets, material specifications.
• Maintain flow of production via real‑time trouble shooting and evaluation of rejected product.
• Provide continuous improvement of tooling and manufacturing methods.
• Lead Capital Projects: justification and industrialization.
• Work with and lead production teams to enhance manufacturing processes and troubleshoot issues.
• Lead cross‑functional team in determination of root cause, corrective action of problems.
• Help ensure that quality and standards for the department are adhered to and maintained.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Adhere to Howmet EH&S, Quality, Continuous Improvements and other Company Policies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, Metallurgical Engineering or related field.
• Must be proficient in Solid Works.
• QAD MRP experience preferred.
• Three to five years of experience in a metal working industry.
• Familiarity to metal working principles required.
• Strong communication and problem solving skills.
• Skilled in use of personal computers with emphasis on analytical software.
• Knowledge of world‑class manufacturing principles such as lean manufacturing, JIT, SPC, TCM, etc. preferred.
