Receiving Inspector

• Adept at using measurement tools (caliper, micrometer, tape measure) to ensure materials delivered match specifications.
• Post receipts to appropriate reports.
• Assist the receiving supervisor in processing and logging rejection notices.
• Release brokered/future orders from the "hold for incoming" file.
• Review returns from customers and process RGA paperwork as needed.
• Answer inquiries from Sales, Purchasing, Warehouse and Accounts Payable.
• Perform regular inspection duties: unload vendor vehicles, receive material into the company computer program, verify order matches, paint & tag, stage, and place material in the correct warehouse location.
• Maintain knowledge of material and stock/overstock locations.
• Operate equipment safely and maintain a safe work area.
• Convert kilos to pounds and millimeters to inches when required.
• Keep department and general housekeeping orderly.

• Forklift Certified.
• Proficient with tape measure, calipers, micrometer.
• Side loader, scissor lift, overhead crane, order picker.
• Skill saw, wood saw.
• Basic computer skills: MS Outlook, Knowledge of IMS business system.
• Ability to convert weight and measurements.

Must be able to see, hear, speak, and take direction. Manual dexterity required for reaching and lifting small objects and operating material handling equipment. Must lift at least 75 pounds without help.
