Purpose and Scope

This position provides basic support and preventative maintenance on production equipment. The role will collaborate with the Maintenance and Production teams to exceed organizational goals.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Ensure safety is the foundation of daily work through vigilance and accountability.
• Perform advanced level PMs on equipment.
• Execute projects assigned on equipment improvements, rebuilds, or troubleshooting.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot advanced equipment problems following manufacturer’s instructions, manuals, and diagrams.
• Assist other Maintenance Techs on advanced PMs and equipment troubleshooting.
• Track maintenance activities in CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System).
• Maintain proper spare parts needed for PMs on hand and available at time of PM.
• Review equipment failures with technicians, engineers, and/or managers annually to determine if content and frequency of PMs need modification.
• Perform duties with minimal supervision.

Required Job Knowledge, Skills, and Experience

• 7+ years of experience performing PMs and maintenance on mechanical systems.
• Intermediate level experience with CNC equipment.
• Intermediate level experience working with computers and MS products.
• Working with suppliers to fix equipment and order required parts.
• Experience managing spare parts inventory.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Must be able to read and write English.
• Ability to bend, squat, sit, stand, walk, handle objects, push/pull, reach above shoulder level, carry/lift up to 40 pounds, and rotate items handled.
• Work on feet for entire shift.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen.
• Maintains a clean and orderly work area.
• Ensures all maintenance actions are accomplished safely and timely.

Preferred Job Knowledge, Skills, and Experience

• 2+ years of CNC equipment operation – Mills, Lathes, Hones.
• 2-year technical degree or trade certification.
• 5+ years of experience performing PMs and troubleshooting CNC equipment issues.
• Forklift certification.
