Base Salary with Opportunity for Semi‑Annual Performance Bonuses.

Advanced Practice Provider Role:
Performs physical examinations and treats common complications of cancer treatment, counsels patients and families and monitors patient progress.

• Ensure patient information, visit history, refer outs, lab follow‑up, phone calls, and consults are carefully and completely documented in the electronic medical record.
• Conduct in-depth interviews with patients and/or family, construct comprehensive medical histories, perform initial and periodic physical examinations, and explore patients’ interpretation of health needs. Identify and treat patients’ diseases.
• Directly perform or order appropriate diagnostic studies and interpret finished results.
• Develop and implement long‑ and short‑range treatment plans.
• Perform procedures such as bone marrow biopsy.
• Instruct and counsel patients and families regarding preventive care, medical problems, psychological problems, and use of prescribed treatments and drugs.
• Write orders to increase, decrease or change medication, subject to checking and countersigning by physician.
• Identify and record pertinent progress of patients, update and summarize charts, change orders when appropriate and notify the responsible physician of changes in the patient’s condition.
• Will need hospital privileges to assist with call.

• Master’s degree in nursing.
• Possession of current certificate of completion from a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program.
• Current and unrestricted license to practice.
• Oncology experience preferred but not required.
• National Certification required upon employment (Nurse Practitioners).
