The RN House Supervisor will oversee the night shift nursing operations, ensuring adequate staffing and high‑quality patient care. You will lead interdisciplinary teams, manage census changes, and maintain compliance with all regulatory requirements.

- Anticipate and manage changes in census and acuity, allocating nursing resources accordingly.
- Role model expectations related to customer service and demonstrate urgency around patient safety.
- Enforce and interpret policies for the delivery of patient and resident care.
- Ensure proper staffing for each unit, maintaining staff ratios and covering call‑offs and vacation time.
- Ensure chart checks are completed, the seclusion/restraint log is up‑to‑date, and nursing assessments and MARs are accurate.
- Conduct rounds at the beginning of shifts and perform random audits.
- Assist the Director of Nursing in orienting staff, coaching, and ensuring competency.
- Provide mentoring and training as needed.
- Assist the DON in ensuring facility compliance with professional, regulatory, and governmental standards.
- Monitor and evaluate patient care processes and outcomes to ensure safe, compassionate care.
- Coordinate all care rendered to patients, including physician orders and diagnostic information, and ensure timely consultations.
- Document medical, behavioral health information, and nursing care.
- Administer medications and maintain records per company policies and procedures.
- Assist in developing and revising individualized care plans.
- Prioritize tasks and delegate staff to ensure quality patient care.
- Serve as shift leader for all admissions and discharges, informing physicians of changes in patient conditions and adjusting staffing accordingly.
- Utilize administrator‑on‑call for situations requiring additional attention.
- Provide direct patient care as needed.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
- BSN degree from an accredited school of nursing (preferred). BSN candidates expected to graduate within 18 months may be considered.
- Three or more years’ experience in nursing practice (required). One or more years in med/surg nursing (preferred).
- One or more years in a behavioral health setting (preferred).
- One or more years in a supervisory or charge position (preferred).
- Greater than 1 year of experience as an RN strongly preferred; 1 year in any setting is required.
- Experience in a psychiatric/recovery program preferred.
- Strongly desired: experience as a charge RN or other leadership role.
- Current registered nursing license in the state of the facility (required).
- CPR and de‑escalation/restraint certification required (training provided on hire).
- First aid may be required per state or facility policy.
- Certification or license to teach within the state (if applicable).
