General
Summary:
Applies and demonstrates knowledge of the delivery of professional nursing care, including all aspects of practice, as defined by the AZ board of nursing and reinforced in Center for Neurosciences’ policies. Provides Infusion Care that is concordant with the Infusion Therapy Standards of Practice. Coordinates information between patient, family and healthcare team members; provides for education of patients families and evaluates outcomes.
Job Responsibilities
Education: A graduate of a nationally accredited nursing program. BSN preferred.
Experience: Minimum one (1) years of recent infusion nursing experience and three (3) years of nursing experience; familiarity with the administration of biologics a plus; strong IV competencies; unrestricted, current state license as a Registered Nurse in AZ; BLS for Healthcare Providers certification, ACLS a plus; computer experience and Microsoft applications (e.g., Outlook, WORD, Excel) required; high-level clinical judgment and problem-solving skills or any equivalent combination of experience, training and/or education approved by the Infusion Nurse Manager and/or Human Resources.
Requirements Knowledge
- Knowledge of nursing practice principles and techniques; occupational health and safety hazards and standards; health care laws and regulations; and clinical policies and procedures.
- Knowledge of nursing processes; health care systems, structure and functions; and community resources. Understanding of health care technology, equipment and supplies.
- Knowledge of quality-improvement principles and techniques.
- Skill in applying and modifying, as appropriate, the principles, methods, and techniques of professional nursing.
- Skill in identifying problems, researching, and recommending solutions.
- Skill in developing and maintaining high level of quality care/quality assurance.
- Skill in exercising high degree of initiative, judgment, discretion and decision making.
- Skill in time management, problem solving, multitasking, prioritizing, and medical care coordination.
