This Med/Surg unit is a 30-bed Adult Medical Specialty Unit, which provides acute medical care to adult and geriatric patient populations. The unit provides care to patients with multiple diagnoses such as respiratory failure, renal failure, liver failure, infectious disease, acute neurological dysfunction, oncology and more. Our specialties also include caring for adult Cystic Fibrosis patients and performing peritoneal dialysis; specialized skills and competencies to add to your repertoire.

The variety of diagnoses seen daily on allow our staff to learn a multitude of skills including telemetry, preparation for organ transplant, post-operative care, wound care, and much more. We have a supportive and diverse culture where both new graduate RNs and seasoned nurses thrive together.

Full-time: 36 hours per week, 3 12-Hour Shifts

Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM

POSITION SUMMARY

This position assesses, plans, implements, evaluates and documents nursing care of patients in accordance with organizational policies and in accordance with standards of professional nursing practice utilizing the framework for professional nursing practice and development. This position is accountable for the quality of nursing services delivered by self or others who are under their direction. This position utilizes specialized knowledge, judgment, and nursing skills necessary to assess data and plan, provide and evaluate care appropriate to the physical and developmental age of assigned patients.
