Palo Verde Behavioral Health is seeking an experienced Manager of Nursing (Mgr, Nursing).
The Mgr, Nursing is responsible for the clinical practice of nursing within assigned units, directing all services provided by the Nursing Services Department, including nurses and behavioral health techs. The Nurse Manager ensures coordinated delivery of patient care in accordance with established standards of care, mental health practice, hospital policy, goals, and objectives. This position contributes to the hospital’s philosophy, objectives, educational and performance & improvement efforts, while supervising nursing staff and assisting the DCS in program development.

The Mgr, Nursing directs nursing services, maintains standards of care, provides leadership to nursing staff, collaborates with multidisciplinary teams, participates in quality improvement initiatives, ensures compliance with regulatory requirements, and supports program development and staffing decisions.
QualificationsEducation: Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing required, or equivalent combination of education and experience in psychiatric nursing management.
Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
Experience: A minimum of three (3) years’ experience in Nursing Administration and/or a dedicated Leadership role in Psychiatric Nursing is preferred.
Licensure: Must be currently licensed to practice in AZ by the Arizona State Board of Nursing.
Additional Requirements: Thorough knowledge of JCAHO, CMS, OSHA requirements, and state and federal regulatory requirements. CPR certification upon hire, and successful completion of training in Handle with Care within 30 days of employment, and prior to assisting in restraining procedures.
