American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position requiring 2+ years of ED experience and AZ or compact RN licensure.

• Work in a 38-bed Emergency Department at a Trauma Level III, Stroke Receiving, and STEMI Receiving facility
• Day shift schedule, 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM, 3x12-hour shifts
• Uses Cerner EMR, with prior experience preferred
• Must be willing to float
• Black scrub color dress code

• Active RN license (AZ or Compact) required
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and PALS required
• NIHSS certification recommended but not required
• Minimum 2 years of recent Emergency Department experience required
• Charge nurse experience preferred
• Certifications must not expire within the first 30 days of assignment
• No employment gaps of 90 days or more within the past 12 months

• Provide direct nursing care to Emergency Department patients using the nursing process in accordance with state Nurse Practice Act and hospital policy
• Demonstrate critical thinking, clinical judgment, and leadership in planning and delivering safe emergency care
• Delegate patient care priorities and provide direction and supervision to assigned personnel as needed
• Maintain clinical competencies through ongoing continuing education
• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be eligible for the position
• RTO requests must be less than one week
• Not eligible if previously employed as permanent staff at any facility within the health system in the past 2 years
