Cimarron Animal Hospital is ready to welcome a forward-thinking Veterinary Medical Director to lead our thriving, AAHA-accredited, Cat Friendly Certified, and Fear Free practice in East Tucson. We‘re passionate about pets and their people-and we‘re looking for a leader who shares that vision.

This is an exciting opportunity for a medical leader eager to drive innovation, mentor the next generation of veterinarians, and elevate clinical care, nursing standards, and client service. With modern equipment-including digital radiology, K-laser, full surgical monitoring, and AI-assisted recordkeeping-our environment supports both progressive medicine and personal career growth. You‘ll be backed by a seasoned Hospital Manager and a dedicated, experienced Medical Director committed to a smooth transition and strong partnership.

The Right Fit Will:

• Be an experienced DVM with a strong foundation in soft tissue surgery, dental extractions, and urgent care

• Bring a solutions-focused mindset with a collaborative leadership style

• Enjoy mentoring early-career veterinarians and creating growth pathways for the entire medical team

• Demonstrate patience, humor, and a deep respect for people and pets alike

Schedule:

• Flexible 3-4 day workweek (10-hour shifts) with a 90-minute lunch

• Monday-Friday 7:30 AM-5:30 PM; rotating Saturdays 9 AM-4 PM

• No on-call or after-hours emergencies

Support &

Collaboration:

• 2.5:1 tech-to-doctor ratio, including CVTs and trained veterinary assistants

• On-call access to board-certified surgeon and ultrasonographer

• Emergency/specialty hospital just five minutes away
