Quality Control Technician; Temp Position

Overview

Quality Control Technician (Temp Position) at Syn Cardia Systems, LLC.

• Identify solutions and complete tasks related to corrective actions, internal audit findings, and non-conformance reports.
• Maintain QC work areas and enforce controlled environment policies.
• Oversee quarantine cage and disposition of materials.
• Ensure finished devices meet required quality standards based on documented requirements.
• Inspect purchased items, subcontracted parts, and subassemblies for use in medical device manufacturing processes or systems.
• Support incoming inspection activities and release finished goods to inventory.
• Review device history records for completeness and compliance before release of finished goods.
• Document and communicate results of acceptance activities per approved procedures and forms.
• Support calibration activities as assigned.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Skills and Abilities

• Maintain punctual attendance and accurate records.
• Interpret blueprint reading and documentation.
• Communicate facts and information clearly both verbally and orally.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Work independently and complete assignments within prescribed routines.

Education and Experience

• Associate’s degree, technical training/certifications or equivalent.
• One to three years of quality inspection in a manufacturing environment.
• One to three years of experience in a controlled manufacturing environment preferred.
• General knowledge of regulatory requirements including FDA quality system regulations and ISO 13485.
• Basic computer skills (Word, Excel).

• Indoors, seasonally heated and cooled with minimal noise levels.
• Constitution requires considerable standing and moving objects of less than 25 pounds.
• Ability to communicate in person, telephonically and via email.

• No facial cosmetics or fragrances.
• Personal items stored outside lab (phones, jewelry, watches, etc.).
• No food or drink at any time.
• Strict requirements for protective clothing and PPE.
