Position: Biospecimen Coordinator I
Pay Range: $25.86hr - $30.86hr Job Overview:
Our organization is seeking a reliable, detail-oriented professional to join the team as a Biospecimen Coordinator. This role is essential to daily operations, ensuring that sample shipments are processed, triaged, and tracked with high precision. The successful candidate will be instrumental in maintaining an accurate chain of custody and supporting various workflow improvements within the Bio Sample Management Group.

Core Responsibilities:

Receive, open, and triage incoming sample shipments, directing them to the appropriate testing locations. Perform sample accessioning and conduct quality control checks on demographic data entry to ensure accuracy. Serve as a point of contact for clients regarding held or rejected samples, resolving issues promptly. Execute sample labeling and perform final quality control checks to verify labeling accuracy. Image stained slides returned from Pathology, ensuring all deliverables are met within established timelines.

Manage internal and client requests, including global sample shipments, while maintaining rigorous chain of custody standards. Oversee the team inbox to ensure all requests are tracked and completed. Lead and drive deliverables for assigned process improvement work streams within the Bio Sample Management Group. Perform additional duties as assigned by management. Candidate Profile: 1 5 years of relevant experience. Strong critical thinking skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues effectively.

Clear and professional communication skills, both verbal and written. Meticulous approach to work with a high standard for quality. Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

Prior experience with biosample management and accessioning; proficient in Google Suite and Microsoft Office (e.g., MS Word, Excel, Google Docs, Sheets); experience with LIMS or other sample tracking software. Education Requirement:
