About the opportunity

Our client is an aerospace company in Tucson that supports commercial aviation and defense through APU overhaul, component repair, testing, and the manufacture of turbine-powered ground support equipment.

They’re looking for a Quality Assurance Manager to lead the quality department. You'll own regulatory compliance for the repair station, run the inspection team, and be the main point of contact with customers, the FAA, and DCMA on audits and quality matters.

What you'll do
  • Keep the repair station compliant with FAA, EASA, and CAAC regulations, airworthiness directives, and manufacturers' specifications.
  • - Work with customers, the FAA, and DCMA on inspections, audits, and quality issues.
  • - Supervise the Inspection Department and make sure inspections and records are thorough and accurate.
  • - Maintain the repair station, quality control, and EASA/CAAC manuals, the capability list, the personnel roster, and technical data.
  • - Run the internal audit and corrective action programs, plus subcontractor audits and capability surveys.
  • - Keep inspection tools and test equipment calibrated and documented.
  • - Oversee training, safety, certification, and drug and alcohol programs.
  • - Certify products using FAA Form 337, Form 8130-3, and other required forms, and support DER repairs and PMAs.
What you need
  • At least 5 years of quality assurance management in an FAA repair station, or equivalent experience.
  • - Working knowledge of Federal Aviation Regulations, including Part 145.
  • - Strong communication skills and solid Microsoft Office skills, including Access.
  • - U.S. work authorization (visa sponsorship is not available).
Nice to have
  • A&P license (highly preferred).
  • - 5+ years of technical experience in a Part 145 repair station, especially with gas turbines.
  • - Component repair experience such as welding, machining, grinding, or balancing.
Benefits
  • Health, dental, vision, and life insurance
  • - Paid time off
