Position Summary

We are seeking entry‑level, full‑time sales associates in our pawn store locations nationwide. The Pawnbroker / Retail Sales Associate partners with the entire staff to ensure customer service on both lending and retail sides. They greet, engage, and assist customers with sales, loans, and other transactions, and help with customer inquiries and problem resolution.

The role involves working with jewelry and general merchandise, including tools, electronics, firearms (in FFL locations) and more. The full‑time Associate earns an hourly wage plus commission based on productivity.

Responsibilities
  • Greets and interacts with customers to develop rapport and recommend appropriate financial solutions.
  • Performs non‑management open/close procedures.
  • Makes the sales floor clean, stocked, and displays merchandise.
  • Performs sales and loan transactions in accordance with policies and regulations.
  • Handles cash and negotiable items per policies and regulations.
  • Answers incoming calls per company standards.
  • Communicates legal aspects of pawn and buy transactions to customers.
  • Communicates effectively with coworkers and managers.
  • Partners with all employees to create positive customer experience.
  • Completes assigned training.
  • Other related duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements & Qualifications
  • Willingness and ability to lift/carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Willingness and ability to perform duties for extended periods, including standing, stooping, walking, climbing, pushing, pulling, lifting.
  • Ability to work with firearms and obtain firearms certification.
  • May be required to assist customers outside building or retrieve products in exterior storage.
  • Minimum age 18.
  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
  • Strong desire to work, serve customers, team‑oriented.
  • Ability to multi‑task in fast‑paced environment.
  • Proficient basic math calculations.
  • Cash handling experience preferred.
  • Ability to work in multiple locations as business needs dictate.
  • Flexibility to work a retail schedule including weekends and holidays.
  • Computer literate and able to operate POS and office machines.

The employee commission incentive plan is proprietary to First Cash. Pawnbrokers can earn 2‑8% commission based on gross profit of personal performance. Details provided during interview.

All pay rates meet or exceed applicable minimum wage. Employees sign a binding arbitration agreement.
