Customer Service Representative
Company: Hood Distribution
Hood Distribution, established in 1899, is a wholesale distributor of hardwood lumber and plywood, as well as related specialty wood products. We operate twenty-three locations, distributing throughout the eastern U.S. and Caribbean markets.
Responsibilities- Assist customers and sell a specific line of merchandise in the retail operation.
- Receive merchandise, total bills, accept payments, and make changes for customers.
- Stock shelves, counters, or tables with merchandise.
- Set up advertising displays or arrangements of merchandise on counters or tables to promote sales.
- Mark merchandise.
- Obtain merchandise requested by customer or receive merchandise selected by customer.
- Answer customer's questions concerning location, price, and use of merchandise.
- Wrap or bag merchandise for customers.
- Clean shelves, counters, or tables.
- Remove and record amount of cash in register at end of shift.
- Enter sales discount to determine price.
- Keep records of sales, prepare inventory of stock, or order merchandise.
- May be designated according to product sold or type of store.
