Founded in 1976, the University of Arizona Cancer Center (UACC) is one of only 57 NCI-Designated Comprehensive Cancer Centers, placing it among the top tier of cancer centers nationwide. Under the leadership of Dan Theodorescu, MD, PhD, UACC is entering a new era of strategic growth and transformation. We are currently conducting a national search for the inaugural Director of the Ginny L.
Clements Breast Cancer Research Institute (GLCBCRI).
The successful candidate will meet the requirements for either a career track or tenure track faculty position, according to College and University guidelines. They will be a renowned scientist and accomplished leader with a strong record of extramural funding, impactful publications, and a passion for advancing breast cancer research, treatment, cure, and prevention, as well as providing excellent clinical oncology care.
The Director will have experience in building research initiatives and possess an entrepreneurial spirit to lead the growth of the newly founded GLCBCRI. They will be capable of uniting researchers from diverse backgrounds across the University of Arizona and beyond to develop an internationally recognized translational breast cancer research enterprise, translating lab discoveries into new treatments through collaborations locally, nationally, and internationally.
