Community Service Officer - Phoenix, AZ – University of Arizona Police Department
The University Police Department is seeking a Community Service Officer for the Phoenix area. Community Service Officers maintain security and safety of people and property on the University of Arizona Phoenix‑metro area campuses by patrolling in marked department vehicles and enforcing University rules and regulations. They perform directed and self‑initiated patrols to detect and report suspicious and criminal activity to Dispatch and other personnel in the field.
CSOs must be willing to work rotating shifts/days off, and work holidays.

- High School Diploma or GED (or equivalent experience)
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience (volunteer, internship, or applicable experience considered)
- Possession of a current Arizona Type D driver’s license and ability to drive according to the University Fleet Safety Policy
- Successfully pass an in‑depth background investigation, including a polygraph examination
- Must be able to work rotating shifts, weekends, and holidays
