For the Forklift Operator | Auto Salvage & Recycling opportunity, you will work on-site at our store location and fulfill the following job responsibilities:

• Prioritize the cleanliness and appearance of the facility and your work area.
• Listen to and interact with customers to deliver friendly, helpful, and professional customer service.
• Abide by the Company Playbook, which includes all company policies, safety guidelines, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Comply with the company dress code policy and wear your Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required.
• Perform daily maintenance and safety checks on forklift and other operating equipment—notify supervisor of any issues found.
• Make general equipment repairs if directed & trained.
• Utilize the forklift, safely at all times, to help transport, process, set, and dismantle vehicles throughout the facility.
• Clean and service forklifts and other heavy equipment regularly to help maintain proper function.
• Train team members how to safely and professionally operate the forklift (and other heavy equipment) as needed.
• Learn new skills; assist your teammates; and complete other automotive salvage & recycling tasks and objectives as needed.
• Meet personal and team performance goals.
• Commit to working production hours (typically Monday - Friday), but may include occasional overtime, weekends, and some holidays.
• Work in an industrial, outdoor environment with exposure to all weather conditions.

The ideal Forklift Operator | Auto Salvage & Recycling will possess the following qualifications:

• Commitment to delivering friendly, helpful, and professional customer service.
• General automotive mechanic understanding and application.
• Experience operating a forklift.
• Basic computer skills and ability to use mobile devices.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
• Able to follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and complete tasks safely and accurately with little supervision.
• Experience using both hand tools and power tools.
• Willing and able to stand, walk, bend, lift 50lbs, and stretch as required by a specific task.
• Must work production hours (typically Monday - Friday), but may include occasional overtime, weekends, and some holidays.
• Be willing and able to work in an industrial, outdoor environment with exposure to all weather conditions.
• Reliable means of transportation to work.
• Preferred qualifications (but not required) include:
• Forklift Operator Certification.
• Basic knowledge of auto parts.
• Experience in maintenance on heavy operating equipment such as loaders, hydraulics, tow motors, forklifts, etc.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish.
