DC Power Technician- Nationwide - Travel-DoD Clearance Required

Job Summary

An All Com Global Services Project is comprised of various subsystems that will be installed, tested, and placed into service. This requires a very experienced installation person to understand the system design, industry standards, installation methods & processes and an extensive knowledge of data enterprise and telecommunication environments. This is a 100% travel position and requires a DoD Security clearance.

• DC and AC Power Systems Installation and secondary distribution. Rectifiers and Power Boards (Vertiv, Benning)
• Inverter plants.
  
  - Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) Systems
• Grounding installation requirements and standards
• Inside Plant infrastructure providing common system functionality (cabling, racking, power)
• Site surveys and site installation preparation.
  
  - Transport equipment installation and commissioning requirements
• Data switch & Data Enterprise installation.
  
  - Voice switch installation requirements
• Able to write detailed MOP's and SOW's
• Extremely knowledgeable in industry standards supporting the Data and Telecommunication environments
• Clear understanding of performing System Acceptance Testing (SAT)
• Installation, commissioning, and testing of
  -48V VRLA battery systems
  • Common manufacturers include Ener Sys, GNB and C&D
• Installation, hot-cut, commissioning, and testing of DC power boards to include alarm notifications
  • Common manufacturers include Emerson/Liebert, Benning, Lucent, and Alpha Technologies
• Installation, hot-cut, commissioning, and testing of Inverter systems to include alarm notifications
  • Common manufacturers include Benning, Peco II, CE+T and Alpha Technologies
• Clear understanding of proper lacing techniques

• MS Word, Excel, Project, Visio, and Power Point
• Laptop computer for testing, equipment configurations and commissioning
• Basic hand tools and crimpers for installation of power boards, inverters, and DC power circuits
• Test equipment for fiber, copper, and power equipment. Good written and verbal communication skills
• Effective time management skills
• Understand and interpret engineered drawing packages
• Strong leadership skills and the ability to supervise all levels of installation team members
• Ability to resolve conflicts between the engineering design and physical site conditions
• Provides technical expertise and support to the customer and detail engineering
• Conduct and enforce the ongoing safety requirements at any given site
• Ability to travel out of town 100% of the time
• Must possess an active Department of Defense Clearance

• Ability to secure and maintain Department of Defense Secret Clearance
• Must be able to pass pre-employment testing (drug and background) and have a valid driver's license
• Minimum of 5-10 years of installation in the data and telecommunication markets
• Documented work experience as a DC Power installer.
