Conserva Irrigation of Tucson East is seeking to hire a seasonal Lead Irrigation Technician to repair and install residential and commercial systems from the Green Valley to the Rita Ranch area.

SUMMARY OF ROLE:

Supports Company operations by performing all tasks at the customer’s home/work site as determined in the scope of work. These duties and necessary functions are performed in a safe, professional, and on‑time to meet our customer’s expectations and provide excellent customer service.

LEAD TECHNICIAN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Communicates with Homeowner/Client to inform and educate about irrigation system enhancements and services.
  • Briefly explain/confirm with the client the scope of work to be performed and the estimated length of time to complete tasks. Speak to the client to upsell other products.
  • Work independently or as a team to provide service/repair to residential and commercial systems. This includes completing system audits and estimates where applicable.
  • Oversee/Manage sub-contractors for residential and commercial installations.
  • Anticipate task problems and inform the Homeowner/Client of any issues and corrective action to complete the task.
  • Sustains a work environment that builds positive professional relationships, accepts accountability and demonstrates excellent customer service. Consistently demonstrates a commitment to complete scope of work. Provide the customer with system orientation as applicable.
  • Clean‑up of all areas affected by the installation and perform maintenance on all Company tools and equipment used daily on work sites.
  • Ensure adequate inventory levels are maintained to service clients.
  • Safely operate the company vehicle, and maintain a clean and orderly vehicle. Notify management of any vehicle accidents, malfunctions, or damages.
  • Prepares and correctly completes any work order documents or reports.
  • Accomplishes organization goals by following required best practices. Promptly inform Franchise Owner of any team member injury, issues/disputes with homeowner/Client, damage to the structure, or company tools/equipment.
  • Update job knowledge by participating in IA certification training, and following all company policies, safety rules, and procedures including all highway traffic laws.
  • Receive oral and written instructions from Franchise Owner.
  • Perform other duties that may be assigned to you.
LEARNING ON THE JOB
  • Work independently, yet be part of a team working directly with Technicians and a Manager
  • Assess residential irrigation systems through our proven SES® sales process
  • Assess commercial irrigation systems through our proven CSA® sales process
  • Advance to a Sales Technician role where you can finally put away your shovel for good
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • High School degree or equivalent
  • 2+ years of documented irrigation industry experience and proficiency required
  • Results-oriented
  • Motivation to earn production bonuses
  • Great attitude with a desire for growth
  • Ability to work regular physical labor outdoors in a variety of weather conditions
  • Computer skills, with knowledge of the primary Microsoft Office programs
  • Ability to successfully pass a background check, including a clean driving record and other pre-employment screening.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
  • Able to lift & carry items up to 75 lbs.
  • Frequently move the whole body to perform tasks such as lifting, walking, carrying, pushing, pulling the handling of materials.
  • Stand or walk for a long time.
  • Stoop, kneel and crouch in awkward positions.
  • Capable of working in a constant state of alertness and a safe manner.
