Maintenance Mechanic

the Maintenance Mechanic plays a critical role in ensuring the operational excellence of JLL-managed facilities by supporting the inspection, maintenance, and repair of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and specialized agricultural facility systems. In this hands-on position at the Bayer Innovation Center in Marana, you will work both independently and alongside your Chief Engineer to maintain assigned properties' interior, exterior, and greenhouse environment areas, including walls, flooring, fixtures, roofing systems, and lighting.

• Perform ongoing preventive maintenance and respond to repair work orders on facility mechanical, electrical, plumbing, greenhouse systems, and other installed equipment.
• Conduct assigned facility inspections and due diligence efforts, reporting on conditions that impact client research, occupancy, and operations.
• Execute general interior and greenhouse maintenance tasks such as repairing structures, fixing doors, and assisting with facility asset upkeep.
• Assist the operations team with building and equipment maintenance and repair as directed by management.
• Replace lighting fixtures and ballasts, clean HVAC coils, and change filters and belts to ensure optimal system and climate performance.
• Monitor and assist with building automation adjustments to maintain strict environmental parameters.
• Work safely from heights to service overhead greenhouse infrastructure, shade cloths, and high-bay lighting.
• Update work order status in real time using CMMS systems
• Comply with all safety procedures, complete required safety trainings, conduct vehicle safety inspections, and elevate issues to customers and managers promptly.

• High School diploma, GED, or equivalent certification.
• Minimum of 1-3 years of applicable working experience in general building repair and maintenance, basic plumbing, and basic electrical systems.
• Proven capability to work safely from elevated heights and climb ladders up to 30 feet while carrying a tool bag weighing approximately 20 lbs.
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to interact professionally with clients and team members.
• Strong interpersonal skills and effective communication abilities.
• Valid licenses as required by the authority having jurisdiction.
• Ability to lift up to 80 lbs.
• Capability to work in adverse conditions including extreme cold and extreme hot greenhouse environments.

• Prior experience working in a greenhouse, agricultural facility, or controlled-environment agriculture (CEA) setting.
• Familiarity or experience with Priva and/or Johnson Controls Metasys building automation systems is a significant plus.
• Experience utilizing Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) for work order tracking and documentation.
• Familiarity with completing Hazard Assessments and maintaining compliance with State, County, or City Ordinances, Codes, or Laws.
• Knowledge of safe storage, usage, and disposal procedures for hazardous materials.
• Defensive driving training or certification.
• Background in facility operations, corporate campus, or property management environments.
• Basic troubleshooting skills for HVAC systems, irrigation/fertigation lines, and climate controls.
