DOES A CASE AIDE-PARENTING TIME COORDINATOR DO?
A DCS Case Aide-Parenting Time Coordinator is responsible for creating written parenting time plans that are tailored to the needs of the family by observing and meeting with DCS clients (children and adults). This position will work closely with DCS Specialists and supervisors to evaluate the family's parenting time plan to ensure the safety and well-being of the child. This position is also responsible for assigning parenting time referrals to Case Aides and leading and coaching them to enhance the quality of parenting time and documentation.
- Collaborate with DCS Specialists, supervisors, parenting time case aides, parents, and children to create a tailored parenting time plan, by observation, communication, and case documentation.
- Participate in the parenting time discussion during clinical supervision with the DCS Specialist and Supervisor.
- Participate in case meetings including Team Decision Making Meetings, Adult Team Meetings, and Child and Family Team Meetings (as available) to gain a better understanding of the family's needs and work with the DCS team to help the case progress.
- Collect parenting time plan data for children in out-of-home care.
- Consult with the Program Manager to review parenting time trends and develop related action plans for the section.
- Provide coaching to Parenting Time Case Aides to improve parenting time quality and documentation.
- Computers and software (Microsoft Office Suite), mobile devices, digital calendars (Outlook), & video conferencing (Microsoft Teams).
- DCS policy for parenting time and contact plans, including creating the Family Contact Plan.
- SAFE AZ Model.
- Child development and family systems including child and family wellbeing.
