THIS IS A GRANT FUNDED POSITIO N.Community & Workforce Development Department is seeking three (3) skilled and compassionate Case Managers to provide critical direct support to individuals and families experiencing financial hardship, housing instability, and imminent risk of eviction. These positions play a vital role in ensuring timely, effective delivery of rental assistance, utility assistance, eviction‑prevention services, and related services.

These Case Managers will provide urgent, empathetic client assistance through phone, email, online, and in‑person interactions. They will assess individual needs and connect clients with the appropriate resources, programs, and community resources. The role requires strong organizational skills, the ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously, and a calm, professional approach to deescalating emotionally charged situations in which clients may be facing homelessness.

Successful candidates will demonstrate strong motivational interviewing skills, sound judgment, and the ability to guide clients toward stability and long‑term economic independence. Responsibilities also include maintaining accurate client records, reviewing documentation for completeness, supporting program compliance, and collaborating with internal staff and external partners to maximize available resources.

Community & Workforce Development Department works with vulnerable populations and minors. A Level one Fingerprint Clearance Card, a Criminal History Self Disclosure Affidavit, and a Central Registry background check are requirements for employment.

Participates in the day-to-day operational and support activities of a specialized, complex functional program or work unit within the Community & Workforce Development Department;

Provides direct services urgently and compassionately to Community & Workforce Development clients, which may include working with clients via phone, email, online, or in person, including collaboration with other agencies and organizations to maximize resources and services;

Assesses the needs of community members and provides guidance on appropriate resources based on individual needs;

Matches qualified candidates with resources, coaching, or support related to employment, education, or financial assistance;

Represents the program or work unit at community events and in meetings with County personnel and/or community partners;
