Base pay range$60.00/hr - $70.00/hr
Position SummaryThis role requires the candidate to be a W2 employee of Donatech, US Citizenship, and an active Secret Clearance. The position is for a Software Engineer II with at least 2 years of professional experience or an advanced STEM degree. It focuses on the design, development, integration, and maintenance of software as part of on‑site factory support for weapon system product development.
The selected candidate will develop applications, libraries, and instrument drivers using the specified software style, development language, and IDE, and will contribute to multi‑discipline engineering teams.
- Design, develop and integrate object-oriented software applications using C# and C++ in Microsoft Visual Studio on Windows.
- Prioritize and handle multiple software engineering tasks concurrently.
- Troubleshoot software and test equipment instrumentation.
- Work in a multi‑discipline engineering team environment.
- Develop and derive requirements for software products.
- Typically requires a Bachelor’s Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience, or an advanced degree.
- Experience in developing and integrating software applications using programming languages such as C++, C#, Java, Python, or Visual Basic.
- Experience with integrated development environments and debugging tools to troubleshoot software implementation and ensure product integrity.
- Experience with Windows Operating System and Microsoft Visual Studio.
- Active transferable U.S. government‑issued security clearance is required prior to the start date.
- U.S. citizenship is required (only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance).
- Knowledge of computer architecture and computer hardware optimization techniques.
- Knowledge of the development of software drivers for the operation of computer hardware interfaces.
- Knowledge of common computer hardware interfaces and data protocols such as TCP/IP or UDP.
- Knowledge of Unified Modeling Language (UML) to visualize software architecture and design.
- Knowledge of software development life cycles, such as Waterfall and Agile.
- Knowledge of Software Configuration Management principles.
- Good written and interpersonal communication skills.
