Software Developer – Imaging & Automation

In this position, you will design and implement image analysis solutions at multiple stages of the production process. You will work at the intersection of computer vision and industrial automation, extracting actionable insights from image data and integrating those outputs into real-time control systems.

The ideal candidate has hands‑on experience with both traditional computer vision techniques and modern machine learning approaches, and can build robust pipelines that move data efficiently across enterprise networks.

• Develop and deploy image analysis solutions to support greenhouse production workflows
• Apply classical computer vision and deep learning techniques to extract meaningful data from images
• Integrate imaging systems with automation and control systems (e.g., sensors, actuators, machine interfaces)
• Design and maintain pipelines to transmit image data and derived insights across enterprise networks
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including automation, infrastructure, and operations

• BS or higher in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field (ABET‑accredited preferred)
• 4+ years of professional software development experience
• Strong Python development skills, particularly for image processing and analysis
• Experience with computer vision and machine learning frameworks (e.g., OpenCV, YOLO, Tensor Flow, PyTorch)
• Experience with Docker or other containerization technologies
• Experience interfacing with I/O devices for automation or machine control
• Familiarity with Git and CI/CD pipelines

• Experience working in a prototyping or R&D environment
• Exposure to industrial automation systems or equipment
• Hands‑on experience with deep learning/CNN‑based image models
• Networking and firewall configuration experience
