Test & Evaluation Lab Tech

This posting is for a contract assignment and is not a full-time employment offer with Boeing. Candidates selected for roles will be employed as contract workers through a Boeing approved 3rd party for the duration of the specified project.

Conducts mechanical tests on a wide variety of aerospace materials, aircraft parts and subcomponents to determine the mechanical properties or characteristics of various design elements. Applicant will be running MTS furnished testing software applications on both servo-hydraulic and mechanical-screw load frames per ASTM, Boeing and Military testing specifications. Collection of data, analyzing test results, documenting findings, and writing technical reports will be the primary focus.

It is expected that the applicant will be working under close supervision with other qualified operators and engineering support.

· AAS Degree or Equivalent or Years of Experience

· Mechanical Test Experience

· Knowledge of MTS, Instron or Equivalent Load Frames

· Knowledge of Closed Loop Servo-Hydraulic Systems

· Technical Writing

· Basic Computer Skills

· Laboratory Experience

· Shop / Lab Tools and Measurement Equipment
