Senior Cloud Solution Architect

Overview

Senior Cloud Solution Architect role ation:
Tukwila, WA or Hazelwood, MO. Classified Cloud Platform team within IDT&S.

• Design and architect secure, scalable, and highly available cloud solutions on Microsoft Azure tailored for classified environments
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including security, engineering, and operations to ensure cloud solutions meet stringent security and compliance standards
• Lead the development and implementation of cloud migration strategies for classified workloads
• Develop and enforce cloud governance policies, security controls, and best practices aligned with government and industry standards
• Provide technical leadership and guidance on cloud security architecture, including identity and access management, encryption, network security, and threat detection
• Conduct risk assessments and vulnerability analyses to identify and mitigate potential security threats in cloud environments
• Support continuous monitoring, incident response, and disaster recovery planning for classified cloud systems
• Stay current with emerging cloud technologies, security trends, and regulatory requirements affecting classified cloud deployments
• Prepare and present technical documentation, architecture diagrams, and security compliance reports to stakeholders
• Mentor and train team members on cloud architecture and security best practices

• Bachelor’s degree or higher
• 5+ years of experience architecting and deploying cloud solutions on Microsoft Azure
• 5+ years of experience with cloud security frameworks and compliance standards such as NIST, FedRAMP, DoD SRG, and DISA STIGs
• 5+ years of experience with Azure cloud platform and infrastructure as code (e.g., Bicep or ARM)
• 5+ years of experience with Policy-as-Code (Azure Policy, OPA/Gatekeeper, Rego, or equivalent)
• 5+ years of experience with Azure services including Azure Security Center, Azure Sentinel, Azure Active Directory, Azure Key Vault, and Azure Policy
• 5+ years of experience with analytical, collaboration, communication, and organizational skills

• Active CompTIA Security+ Certification or ability to obtain within 2 months of start date
• Azure Solutions Architect Expert certification or equivalent
• Experience in classified government or defense environments
• Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies such as Kubernetes and AKS
• Experience with Dev Sec Ops  practices and tools
• Experience with automation and scripting languages such as Python or Ansible
• Experience with cloud incident response and forensic investigations
• Experience understanding hybrid cloud architectures and integration with on-premise systems

Pay & Benefits:
At Boeing, Total Rewards package includes competitive base pay and variable compensation opportunities, health insurance, flexible spending accounts, HSA, retirement savings plans, life and disability insurance, and paid/unpaid time away. Programs vary by location and eligibility. Pay is based on experience and market factors. Summary pay range: $108,800 – $157,550.

This position must meet export control compliance requirements. A “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. 120.15 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.
