The Machine Operator will operate blow-mold/PET/injection molding machines, grinders, trimmer machines, and conveyor systems. This role is responsible for troubleshooting process problems and performing minor maintenance to ensure continued operation of the production line. The Machine Operator is also responsible for following our company’s Good Manufacturing Practices.
Responsibilities- Demonstrate safe work practices by wearing correct PPE and following safety policies.
- Demonstrate punctuality and adhere to work schedule.
- Demonstrate a One Team Cross-Functional attitude by working well and effectively with others and embracing continuous improvement processes.
- Adhere to company General Manufacturing Policies, ensuring compliance with safety standards and keeping the work area clean and organized.
- Conduct preventive maintenance, including mold, neck and blow pin and other mechanical changes.
- Operate blow-mold/PET/injection molding machines to ensure production of quality bottles, adhering to quality control and process procedures.
- Perform bottle inspections (drop tests, packaging and labeling checks) and quality audits.
- Troubleshoot and perform minor repairs on blow-mold machines and support equipment.
- Escalate bottle abnormalities, defects, and quality issues immediately.
- Monitor and replenish supply levels of packaging materials.
- Prepare and document daily production reports, maintenance request forms, and equipment repair documentation.
- Follow instructions from Lead Operator or Supervisor, applying sound professional judgment, and perform other duties as assigned.
- Reasonable mandatory overtime may be required due to business needs.
Experience:
- Basic mathematical skills required.
- Basic computer experience.
- Blow mold experience.
Education: Prefer High School diploma or GED.
Training: Completion of Altium Production/Machine Operator training within 90 days of hire date.
Physical Demands: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the employee is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to grasp, handle, or feel; reach out, over and below with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, and or crawl.
The employee frequently is required to lift, push, pull, and/or move up to 50 pounds.
Work Environment: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts in a production environment. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud. Temperatures inside the plant can fluctuate between hot and cold according to seasonal changes. Personal protective equipment (PPE) is required in the production department and other designated areas.
Targeted Pay Range: $24.18 - $30.91
