Veterinary Technician - Surgery

M-Th 8:30am - 7:00pm

• LVT I Pay: $25.60 - $36.80 / hour
• $3,000 Sign-on bonus for qualified candidates
• This pay band is a starting point and depends on experience and advancement through the Career Trax leveling system
• Competitive shift differential pay for eligible night and weekend hours (based on a 4-hour minimum):
• Mon - Fri: 6pm to 8am = $4.00
• Sat & Sun: 6pm to 8am = $5.50
• Sat & Sun: 8am to 6pm = $4.00

• Follow detailed orders and build trust quickly with clinicians.
• Perform intubation, extubating, and monitor anesthetic procedures.
• Maintain sterility and understand sterilization processes.
• Provide nursing care to stable patients according to hospital standards.
• Place peripheral intravenous catheters in the cephalic vein.
• Perform physical exams, monitor vital signs, and recognize abnormalities.
• Set up and administer intravenous fluids, including troubleshooting and monitoring responses.
