Job Title: Retail Supervisor
Salary Range: $23.97 - 26.00 / DOE
FLSA Status: Hourly
Location: Tukwila
Responsibilities- Assist the management team in the daily operations of the store.
- Supervise and lead retail associates within the store location.
- Work a rotational assignment supervising various retail categories and ensure excellent customer service is provided to customers.
- Assign, guide, coach and train employees while performing the work of a Sales Associate as needed.
- Complete retail operational requirements by scheduling and assigning one or more employees.
- Set expectations, instruct, coach and identify training needs.
- Maintain orderly operations of the store in the absence of the Manager and Assistant.
- Resolve workplace problems by addressing issues that impact employee performance and productivity.
- Prepare reports by collecting, documenting and summarizing information.
- Complete projects by planning, organizing and monitoring assignments.
- Promote productivity by following up with employees on work results.
- Provide excellent internal/external customer service.
- Maintain a clean work environment.
- Demonstrate safe work practices and report any potential hazards or accidents.
- Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with Goodwill’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning and directing work; monitoring performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; and addressing complaints and resolving problems. Partner with People Relations as needed and appropriate.
Position RequirementsEducation And Experience
- High school graduate or equivalency but not required.
- 2 years’ experience with retail with Point of Sale (POS) systems.
- 2 years’ customer service/retail experience.
- 1 year supervisor experience preferred.

Computer/Technology Skills
- Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams).
- Ability to learn new technology and software as related to the job.
Physical Abilities
While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be required to lift and carry 30-40 pounds; have developed fine motor control, stand for long periods, frequent bending, kneeling, reaching, squatting, pushing; climb ladders; travel across surfaces; operate computer systems; communicate effectively in writing and speech, including with individuals with limited English skills. Maintain reliable attendance.
