DSHS FTAA Electrician – Washington State Department of Social and Health Services

We are hiring journey‑level Electricians. You will be a member of the Maintenance and Operations Division (MOD) team responsible for the electrical systems at the Olympic Heritage Behavioral Health in Tukwila.

• Perform skilled installation, maintenance, and repair work on electrical equipment and systems.
• Perform corrective and preventive maintenance on electrical systems and equipment.
• Install, inspect, maintain, and repair wiring/cables, connections, distribution/instrument panels, and circuits.
• Install, adjust, inspect, and maintain electric motors and equipment.
• Replace bearings and motor or generator parts, and perform emergency generator testing.
• Operate equipment and machines.
• Contact vendors and suppliers concerning equipment, materials, and parts.

We’re looking for someone with:

• Current Washington State EL01 license and one year of experience as a journey‑level certified electrician.
• Knowledge of standard practices, methods, materials, tools, and equipment of the electrical trade; electrical codes; and safety precautions.
• Ability to work from blueprints, plans, and sketches.
• Ability to estimate materials and time needed to complete jobs.

King County employees receive 5% premium pay in addition to the advertised salary and are eligible to receive a free ORCA card for transportation use. Opportunities performed on‑site at this work location at least three days a week may be eligible for an additional 5% premium pay in addition to the advertised salary.
