Fleet Maintenance Manager
Eco Fleet, established in 2021 and headquartered in San Diego, is a premier fleet management company specializing in commercial fleet operations across the Western United States. We operate in four airports and numerous client locations, offering mobile and on-site maintenance, fleet washing, detailing services, and commercial shuttle and bus leasing and financing solutions.
Position Overview:We are seeking a Senior Mobile Bus Maintenance Technician to join our team in Seattle, WA. As a foundational member of our Eco Fleet at this new location, you will play a crucial role in our growth. This position is ideal for a self-starter and natural supervisor who thrives in an autonomous environment and is eager to advance their career.
Key Responsibilities:- Collaborate with team members to enhance repair efficiency and ensure high-quality service.
- Operate various hand, power, and shop tools effectively.
- Utilize a company-provided laptop for diagnostics, service writing, documentation, and online training.
- Accurately document repairs and maintain shop equipment, requesting replacements as needed.
- Provide direct feedback to management and collaborate with clients to improve repair procedures and products.
- Maintain a collaborative, inclusive, and respectful attitude in a dynamic environment.
- Respond promptly to all service calls and complete required documentation accurately and on time.
- Ensure customer vehicles are clean during service.
- Adapt to changing circumstances, including emergencies, personnel changes, workload fluctuations, urgent tasks, or technological advancements.
- Adhere to scheduled maintenance procedures and maintain a clean working environment.
- Safely and efficiently use vehicle lifts and tire changing and balancing equipment.
- Attend meetings with internal management and external client stakeholders.
- Work with local parts suppliers and shops to obtain necessary parts, including picking up parts when required.
- Proven ability to adapt to new technologies, innovate, and manage multiple priorities to meet deadlines.
- ASE certifications A4, A5, A6, A7 preferred.
- Experience with EV and hybrid powertrains preferred.
- Knowledge of diesel and alternative fuels such as CNG and LPG preferred.
- Demonstrated "safety first" attitude.
- Basic command of the English language.
- Proficiency in fundamental computer skills, including web browsing and applications like Excel and Word.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Teams and shop software preferred but not required.
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to pass a federal background check.
- ASE certifications A4, A5, A6, A7 preferred.
- 2 to 5 years of equivalent technician experience.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Trade school training is a plus.
