Full‑time Registered Veterinary Technician
Pet Vet Care Centers' Tulare‑Kings Veterinary Emergency Services is seeking a Registered Veterinary Technician to join our team.

Position OverviewThe Veterinary Technician supports hospital operations by providing dedicated quality veterinary care and exceptional service. Responsibilities include patient care, examinations, diagnostics, surgery support, nursing care, feeding, supply maintenance, triage, discharge, and record keeping.
Key Responsibilities- Determine animal requirements by conducting examinations, interviews, reviewing care plans, completing laboratory tests and diagnostic imaging.
- Care for patients: take vital signs, collect samples, administer medications, drugs, vaccines, bandage and wrap wounds.
- Assist during examinations and operations: assemble supplies, secure and bring patients, restrain patients, provide assistance as directed by the veterinarian.
- Apply full knowledge of anatomy, physiology, disease processes, pharmacology, specialized equipment usage, and drug administration.
- Obtain and verify medications and record medication administration.
- Ensure patients receive food, water, clean environment, observe for clinical signs of disease.
- Fill prescriptions, administer medications, manage controlled substances with proper documentation.
- Maintain safe, sanitary, humane environment: sterilize instruments, disinfect areas, store supplies, verify shelf life, follow regulations.
- Document medical records accurately and timely.
- Communicate patient status to owners as directed.
- Maintain equipment, troubleshoot, perform preventive maintenance, arrange repairs.
- Manage inventory, order supplies, verify receipts.
- Participate in continuing education and professional development.
- Release pets to owners, ensuring cleanliness and grooming.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by Manager or practice.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Active Registered Veterinary Technician license in California.
- Minimum two years experience in a veterinary hospital setting.
- Must be available to work Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 5:00 AM to 5:30 PM.
