Job Description
We are seeking a Jr. Controls Engineer to support a diverse range of projects, from small studies to large multi‑million dollar turnkey supplies. The ideal candidate will be team‑oriented, organized, capable of effective communication across all levels of the organization, and adept at meeting deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
Responsibilities- Develop detailed electrical specifications for selection, focusing on part and equipment design.
- Engage in PLC programming, primarily with Allen Bradley PLCs, but experience with other PLCs is also valuable.
- Participate in the design and implementation of control system designs.
- Utilize expertise in instrumentation controls and equipment specification.
- Proficiency in PLC programming and industrial control systems.
- Experience with Allen Bradley PLCs and HMI programming, particularly with Factory Talk.
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical, Computer Science, or Mechatronics.
- US Citizenship is required.
- Experience in Controls/Electrical Engineering, specifically writing code using Rockwell or other PLCs.
- Knowledge in electronics, instrumentation, control, and data acquisition systems.
- Familiarity with variable frequency drive systems, motion control systems, sensors and transmitters, actuators, PID control, and communication networks.
- Bachelor of Science in Electrical, Mechatronics, or Computer Engineering from an ABET‑accredited program with at least one year of engineering experience.
- Willingness to travel when needed.
This role requires on‑site presence with half days on Fridays, offering a 40‑hour work week with minimal overtime. The position entails travel to customer sites for meetings, installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting. Engineers will work with technologies such as PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, servo drives, industrial instrumentation, and data acquisition measurement systems.
Job Type & LocationContract to Hire position based out of Tullahoma, TN.
Pay And BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $48.00 – $57.00/hr.
