Beyond New Horizons, LLC (BNH) has an exciting opportunity for an engineer to join the Asset Health Assurance team supporting the Test Operations and Sustainment contract at Arnold Engineering Development Complex at Arnold AFB, TN. This engineer will be working as a member of an integrated team responsible for maintaining and sustaining the United States Air Force Test Operations and Sustainment efforts.

Job SummaryAs a Condition Based Maintenance Engineer, you will develop and implement strategies that use predictive technologies to monitor industrial equipment. The goal is to move from a reactive or scheduled maintenance model to a proactive, data‑driven approach. This role is crucial for improving equipment reliability, minimizing planned downtime, and optimizing maintenance costs. By analyzing data, you can help predict potential failures and provide actionable insights to maintenance teams before a breakdown occurs.
Responsibilities- Deploy and manage condition monitoring tools to assess equipment health using techniques such as vibration analysis, infrared thermography, oil analysis, ultrasonic and acoustic analysis, and electrical analysis.
- Collect and analyze data from various sensors and monitoring systems to identify trends, anomalies, and patterns that indicate potential equipment failure.
- Conduct thorough investigations into equipment failures to determine the root cause and prevent recurrence using tools and approaches including FMEA.
- Use data‑driven insights to create and refine maintenance plans in coordination with engineers in the field responsible for equipment.
- Work closely with personnel outside the CBM group such as asset owners, test operations engineers, systems engineers, and craftsmen to implement predictive technologies and promote expansion of their utilization within the industrial areas.
- Maintain a collaborative engineering environment within the AHA group and between AHA and test cells, test systems, and plant systems operations across other NAS branches.
- It is a condition of employment to wear company‑issued PPE in accordance with supervisory direction and company policy.
- Perform other related duties as required.
- BS degree in mechanical, industrial, or electrical engineering from an accredited university.
Note:
This posting is specifically for engineers with less than 5 years' post‑BS degree engineering experience. - Must be able to obtain and maintain a Department of Defense Secret level security clearance and access to the AEDC local area network.
- Due to Air Force Security requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required for employment at AEDC.
- Knowledge of or experience with PdM technologies (infrared, ultrasound, vibration and oil analysis).
- Coursework or declared minor in Asset Management and/or Reliability Centered Maintenance/Condition Based Maintenance.
- Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and data analysis abilities.
- CMRP Certification.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly with management and customers, both written and verbal.
- Demonstrated initiative and self‑motivation.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office products.
