Job SummaryBeyond New Horizons, LLC (BNH) has an exciting opportunity for a HPC Linux System Administrator, supporting TOS II, at Arnold Air Force Base, TN. As a HPC Linux System Administrator, you will be working as a member of an integrated team responsible for HPC Cluster support, as well as maintenance and support of Linux Systems and Peripherals for the United States Air Force Test Operations and Sustainment efforts.
Open to internal and external candidates. The selected candidate for this requisition may be required to occasionally work outside normal business hours (e.g., application upgrades).
Job Duties- Serve as system administrator for any Linux based servers and workstations with specific responsibility for HPC cluster operation, management, and maintenance using the Nvidia Bright Cluster Manager software.
- System backup execution, application updates and security configuration maintenance.
- Support analysts for managing resource availability and data transfers.
- Vulnerability assessment and management.
- Handle support, maintenance, repair, and installation of associated Linux and Windows workstations, peripheral equipment, and software applications.
- Produce artifacts of security configuration and compliance upon request.
- Support interface with external auditing agencies overseeing system compliance.
- System security configuration, hardening, patching, and monitoring, including implementing Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) and other DoD security policies.
- Assists in the administration and support of other Government IT systems/networks via collaborative engagement with team members.
- Provide secondary network administration support for other Linux based workstations and servers, printers, and other peripheral IT equipment.
- Work with the Information Systems Security Manager (ISSM) to ensure compliance with Cybersecurity regulations and best practices.
- Ensure Cybersecurity requirements are consistently documented, maintained, evaluated and compliant for Government IT system networks including components of systems.
- Provide end user troubleshooting support for Government IT system networks through the ticket support system.
- Support the use of common work processes and procedures within assigned function across the TOS contract.
- Provide support to AEDC customers and other contractors.
- Periodically evaluate process and program effectiveness and take action to maintain continuous improvement.
- Availability outside of working hours to remediate critical issues with IT Infrastructure as required.
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
- Bachelor's degree in IT-related field with a minimum of 2 years of progressively relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Must currently possess or commit to obtaining any requisite certifications required for assuming administrative role in accordance with DoD 8140 within 6 months of hiring date.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance and access to the AEDC local area network.
- Current US Citizenship required.
- CompTIA Security+ Certification
- Active Top Secret DoD security clearance.
- Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA) and/or Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE)
- Experience with installation, configuration and troubleshooting of Unix/Linux/Windows workstation and server OS environments, hardware, software, mass storage, HPC, patching, ACAS, VLANs, VMWare, Open Shift, Net App ONTAP, Active Directory, Veeam, and Solar Winds NPM.
- Proficiency in scripting and automation tools (e.g., Bash, Power Shell, Python, Ansible).
- Knowledge and experience with Linux clustering concepts and architectures.
- Configuration and application of security policies and templates for system hardening.
- Configuration, monitoring, and tuning of server applications and performance.
- Experience with NISPOM and/or DoD/RMF.
- Experience with network services such as DNS, DHCP, LDAP, NIS, Apache, Tomcat.
- Skilled at building and maintaining personnel and customer relationships.
