Job OverviewThe Maintenance Mechanic III role involves overseeing electronic and control systems, conducting preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, and enhancements for all plant machinery including mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment. This is an excellent opportunity for those eager to join a cohesive team and be a key contributor within a manufacturing maintenance setting.
Essential Functions- Possess strong knowledge of PLC-controlled machines (such as Allen Bradley).
- Be skilled at diagnosing issues with PLC systems.
- Work independently to resolve equipment breakdowns.
- Apply critical thinking and engineering principles effectively.
- Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair all plant apparatus, including safety mechanisms and various technical systems.
- Perform electrical work on systems ranging from low voltage up to 480 Volt, 3-phase industrial setups.
- Take responsibility for minimizing machine downtime.
- Propose and implement equipment improvements.
- Calibrate or adjust machinery to uphold production quality.
- Use programmable logic controllers to diagnose and fix equipment problems.
- Efficiently log preventive maintenance tasks and keep department records up to date using company software (e.g., SAP).
- Keep work spaces, tools, and equipment clean according to 5S standards.
- Identify and support ongoing initiatives to cut costs and boost productivity without sacrificing effectiveness.
- Communicate openly with supervisors or managers about important matters.
- Uphold company values, practices, and policies; comply with all safety regulations.
- Exhibit consistent attendance and punctuality; willingness to work varying shifts, with standard hours being 7:30pm–6:00am, four ten‑hour nights starting on Monday. Overtime may be necessary.

- Quickly recognize and address problems.
- Display diligence and strive for high‑quality results.

- Handle difficulties thoroughly and professionally.
- Communicate clearly and professionally with colleagues and customers.
- Meet deadlines and deliver quality work.

- A high school diploma or GED.
- 5–6 years of experience in industrial maintenance or a related degree combined with relevant work history.
- Strong skills in mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems, or equivalent education and experience.
- Experience with injection molding is beneficial.

- Remaining stationary during equipment repairs.
- Frequently moving around to access plant areas and transport items weighing 30–40 pounds.
- Climbing stairs or ladders and operating lifts when working at heights.
- Using a variety of hand tools, equipment, and computer devices.
- Navigating the facility to communicate effectively and perform duties.
