Registered Nurse, NICU, Night Shift, Temp Force - VTHH

Join Vanderbilt University Medical Center as a Registered Nurse in the NICU on a 13‑week temporary assignment. Working night shifts (7 p.m. – 7 a.m.) in the Temp Force Nursing Collaboration
, you will provide comprehensive, evidence‑based nursing care to complex newborn patients. The role requires collaboration with the interdisciplinary team, patient education, and continuous quality improvement.

• Establish and implement the plan of care, coordinate and deliver nursing interventions, and anticipate patient needs across the continuum of care.
• Use the nursing process to evaluate patient progress towards goals, applying appropriate interventions to ensure effective outcomes.
• Promote health and maintain a safe, positive environment for patients, families, and staff.
• Float across units as needed to fulfill assignment requirements.
• Engage in professional learning activities, remaining current with Board of Nursing standards.

• Active Registered Nurse license in Tennessee.
• Graduate of an approved discipline‑specific program (or equivalent experience).
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience; preferred 2+ years of recent NICU experience.
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certification required.
• Effective communication, conflict resolution, and teamwork skills.
• Ability to float between units to meet scheduling needs.

• Premium pay rate – $65 per hour.
• Medical insurance benefits available through Temp Force.
• 13‑week assignment in the same hospital (may float between units).
• 36–40 hours per week based on unit needs.
