American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position requiring prior travel experience and night shift availability.
Details- L&D/Mother Baby unit with 12-hour night shifts, 7p-7a, 36 hours per week
- Four weekend shifts required per 6-week schedule, with Friday and Saturday nights considered weekend shifts
- Holiday coverage required, including possible Labor Day coverage
- Patient population includes active labor, early labor, antepartum, postpartum, well newborns, and post-op GYN patients over 20 weeks gestation
- Patient ratios: 1:1 active labor, 1:2 early labor without epidural or pitocin, 1:2-3 antepartum, 1:6 mother-baby or well baby care
- No floating or charge responsibilities required
- Active RN license (TN or compact) required
- Current BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications required
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar Labor & Delivery setting required
- Prior travel nursing experience required
- Skilled in circulating Cesarean Sections, postpartum care, well baby newborn care, and couplet care
- Experience scrubbing and/or assisting Cesarean Sections preferred but not required
- Department is staffed primarily with RNs
- Scrubs provided
- Orientation dates available 11/2, 11/9, and 11/16 only, with urgent unit need
- Local candidates accepted
- Radius rule of 75 miles applies, with local candidates accepted at a lower rate
