Role

A typical day as an Assurance Associate in Tulsa involves performing audit, review, and compilation procedures for clients. The role covers all phases of client engagements, including workpaper preparation, financial statement analysis, and audit report compilation. Responsibilities include planning and scheduling engagements, attending client meetings, and ensuring timely and accurate delivery of assigned projects.

• Participates in client engagement meetings to determine timelines and objectives of an audit.
• Performs audit, review, and compilation procedures for clients.
• Analyses and prepares trial balances, complex financial statements, and audit reports using audit software, Word, and Excel.
• Performs schedule computations of accruals, property, and equipment, calculates depreciation expenses, and prepares long‑term debt schedules.
• Reconciles accounting information to control accounts.
• Assists with financial analysis after fieldwork to improve client internal controls and accounting procedures.
• Proofs financial statements and other accounting documents.
• Maintains awareness of general business trends and applies that knowledge to client issues and solutions.
• Performs field work at client locations as necessary.
• Attends training seminars, professional development, and networking events.
• Ensures timely and accurate performance on assigned projects while maintaining compliance with project budgets, turnaround times, and deadlines.

Who You Are

• You have a Bachelor’s degree in accounting (required).
• You have 1–2 years of experience auditing in a public accounting setting.
• You have a valid Certified Public Accountant license or are working toward obtaining a CPA license (preferred).
• You have knowledge of auditing standards and accounting principles.
• You demonstrate critical and analytical thinking skills.
• You can communicate clearly in writing and verbally.
• You can work on multiple projects and meet deadlines by setting priorities.
• You establish and maintain effective relationships with co‑workers and clients.
• You are proficient with computers, Microsoft Office (Word and Excel), and various software packages.

Must be authorized to work in the United States now or in the future without visa sponsorship.
