• Process and post daily incoming payments (via ACH, wire transfers, checks, and credit cards) to customer accounts.
• Reconcile unapplied cash and resolve payment discrepancies by communicating with internal teams and external clients.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date customer payment records in the accounting system.
• Investigate and resolve short pays, over payments, and other variances.
• Support month-end and year-end close processes by preparing cash-related reports and reconciliations.
• Collaborate with Accounts Receivable, Billing, and Collections teams to ensure smooth cash flow.
• Maintain documentation of all cash application activities and contribute to process improvement initiatives.
• Assist in audits by providing necessary documentation and account analysis.

• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
• 2+ years of experience in cash application, accounts receivable, or general accounting.
• Familiarity with accounting software and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Net Suite).
• Strong Excel skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and problem‑solving abilities.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a fast‑paced environment.

• Experience in a high‑volume transaction environment.
• Knowledge of electronic payment systems and bank reconciliations.
• Understanding of GAAP and internal controls related to cash handling.

Salary range for the Cash Apps Specialist is $45k-$52k/year based on experience.
