Freese and Nichols is currently searching for a Construction Representative for heavy civil construction projects. Candidates must have experience inspecting projects that may include roadway drainage, grading, surfacing, and bridges. Experience with Word and Excel is necessary. The job will require the ability to climb ladders, lift light loads, and work 40‑50 hours per week. Some weekend work and travel within Oklahoma may also be required.

Accountabilities
  • Observe and inspect ongoing construction work to ensure compliance with plans and specifications.
  • Oversee construction record‑keeping activities, recommend payments to contractors, review proposed change orders, and prepare daily reports.
  • Prepare for and assist with preconstruction meetings, progress checks, and conflict resolution.
  • Provide information to project manager/construction manager regarding the need for change orders, extra work, or supplemental agreements.
  • Communicate with client, contractors, and other employees.
  • Read plans and specifications to ensure construction is in accordance with them.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Associate’s Degree preferred (in a related field).
  • Construction Rep II: 2–4 years of experience preferred.
  • Construction Rep III: 5+ years of experience.
  • Oklahoma Highway Construction Inspection Technician Sampler Certification preferred.
