Earthwork Foreman

Supervises and allocates activity of work crews according to plans. Manages budget and job materials. Conducts Daily Safety Meetings and champions a culture of safety at all times. Manages assigned crew including scheduling and assigning specific tasks. Monitors and reports time worked for each employee. Completes all forms on Workforce including Daily Project Reports, Employee Warnings and Appraisals, Accident Investigations, Expenses and Receipts Tracking and Daily Absence Reporting.

Completes Employee Performance Evaluations as required. Performs any and all duties at job sites as necessary. Works within assigned budgets and production time frames. Persists at difficult tasks despite unexpected obstacles. Must be able to travel overnight during the week and work weekends as needed.

Ability to meet all safety requirements, wearing PPE including but not limited to hard hat, safety glasses and high visibility vest. Must be able to lead a team with a diverse group of people. Possess strong judgement and decision making skills. Excellent verbal communication skills, must be fluent in English due to Contract Requirements.

Must be able to measure, order and calculate yields. Must have advanced knowledge of all aspects of dirtwork. Must be able to demonstrate and teach safe and proper operation of equipment. Must be at least 18 years old. Must possess valid drivers license. Must have 5 year construction experience. Must pass a pre-employment drug test and background check.

Must be able to perform repairs as needed. Must be able to stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl in awkward positions to repair and inspect machinery and vehicles. Exposure to outdoor elements, including extreme heat and cold, rain, sleet, and snow. Noise level can be loud. This position regularly works near moving mechanical parts and exposure to dust, concrete and asphalt.
