Job Description

Safety Professional – Muskogee, Oklahoma

Safety Consulting is seeking an experienced Safety Professional to support a construction project in the Muskogee/Tulsa, Oklahoma area.

Immediately

Location

Muskogee/Tulsa, Oklahoma

Current Schedule

Monday–Friday, approximately 7:00 AM–3:30 PM. Saturday work is expected to be added as the project progresses.

Minimum Qualifications

Candidates must meet at least one of the following qualification pathways:

  • Minimum of 10 years of full-time construction safety experience AND OSHA 500 certification, OR
  • Minimum of 5 years of construction experience AND a degree in a safety-related field, OR
  • Certified Safety Professional (CSP) with a minimum of 2 years of construction experience
Responsibilities
  • Provide full-time onsite safety oversight and support.
  • Conduct routine jobsite safety inspections and observations.
  • Identify unsafe conditions, behaviors, and potential hazards.
  • Communicate safety concerns and recommended corrective actions to project leadership.
  • Monitor compliance with applicable OSHA regulations, project safety requirements, and company policies.
  • Participate in pre-task planning, safety meetings, toolbox talks, and site orientations as needed.
  • Review job hazard analyses, safety documentation, and work activities.
  • Assist with incident and near-miss investigations and corrective action follow-up.
  • Maintain accurate safety inspection reports and project documentation.
  • Work collaboratively with project management, supervisors, subcontractors, and field personnel.
  • Serve as an onsite safety resource while maintaining a professional and solutions-focused approach.
Additional Qualifications
  • Strong working knowledge of OSHA construction standards.
  • Strong hazard recognition and field-safety skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with both field personnel and project leadership.
  • Strong written documentation and reporting skills.
